These Terms of Use (“Terms”) govern your use of the PDF Maker iOS app (the “App”) provided by Huitong Shijie Technology Co., Ltd. (“we”, “us”). By downloading or using the App, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the App.
1. License
We grant you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to use the App on Apple-branded devices that you own or control, as permitted by the Usage Rules in the Apple Media Services Terms and Conditions. The App is licensed, not sold. Apple’s Licensed Application End User License Agreement also applies; if it conflicts with these Terms, these Terms prevail to the extent permitted.
2. Your content
You keep all rights to the documents, photos and text you create, scan, import or process with the App (“Your Content”). Your Content stays on your device and we do not access it. You are responsible for having the rights to the content you process and for complying with applicable laws, including copyright and privacy laws.
3. Acceptable use
You agree not to use the App to violate any law or the rights of others, and not to copy, modify, reverse engineer, decompile or create derivative works of the App, except where such restrictions are prohibited by law.
4. Sample content
The App includes sample images and documents for demonstration. You may use them within the App, but you may not extract or redistribute them separately.
5. Back up your files
Files are stored locally on your device. Deleting the App, resetting your device or hardware failure may permanently remove them. Please keep copies of important documents (for example, in the Files app or iCloud Drive).
6. Disclaimer of warranties
The App is provided “as is” and “as available”. To the maximum extent permitted by law, we disclaim all warranties, express or implied, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose and non-infringement. Text recognition and document conversion results may contain errors; please review important documents before relying on them.
7. Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, we will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential or punitive damages, or for any loss of data, documents, profits or revenue, arising from your use of or inability to use the App. Our total liability for any claim relating to the App will not exceed the amount you paid for the App, if any. Some jurisdictions do not allow these limitations, so they may not apply to you.
8. Apple-specific terms
- These Terms are between you and us, not Apple. Apple is not responsible for the App or its content.
- Apple has no obligation to provide maintenance or support for the App.
- If the App fails to conform to any applicable warranty, you may notify Apple and Apple will refund the purchase price (if any); Apple has no other warranty obligation with respect to the App.
- Apple is not responsible for addressing any claims by you or a third party relating to the App, including product liability, legal or regulatory compliance, or consumer protection claims.
- Apple is not responsible for the investigation, defense, settlement or discharge of any third-party claim that the App infringes intellectual property rights.
- You represent that you are not located in a country subject to a U.S. Government embargo or designated as a “terrorist supporting” country, and that you are not on any U.S. Government list of prohibited or restricted parties.
- Apple and its subsidiaries are third-party beneficiaries of these Terms and may enforce them against you.
9. Changes and termination
We may update the App and these Terms from time to time. Continued use of the App after changes take effect means you accept the updated Terms. Your license ends automatically if you fail to comply with these Terms; you may stop using the App at any time by deleting it.
10. Governing law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the jurisdiction in which Huitong Shijie Technology Co., Ltd. is established, without regard to conflict-of-law rules. Nothing in these Terms limits any rights you have under mandatory consumer protection laws where you live.
